Morwenna Evans in RAF uniform

Photograph of Morwenna Evans (married name Williams) from Anglesey in Royal Observer Corps  uniform c1944.

She joined the Observer Corps, based in Wrexham and received training for the first weeks to become ‘the eyes and ears of the RAF’. She remained for a period of eighteen months.

The Uniform Morwenna is wearing in the photograph is that of the Royal Observer Corps not, Royal Air Force. M.Collns Ex R.A.F.

  • Oriel Yns Mon hosted the event in Anglesey on 25 April 2009. Nia Powell from the Welsh History Dept at Bangor University opened the show for all the visitors.
